Sankhya Technologies announces availability of its Middleware Solution - SANKHYA Varadhi for Wind River's VxWorks 5.5

Visakhapatnam, India. March 2, 2004 - Sankhya Technologies, a leading distributed system software development company has announced the support of its middleware solution - SANKHYA Varadhi with Wind River's VxWorks 5.5, a leading real-time operating system.

SANKHYA Varadhi is Sankhya's middleware solution for distributed systems development. Varadhi conforms to OMG CORBA (R) 2.2 specifications (Minimum CORBA). SANKHYA Varadhi is integrated with VxWorks 5.5 RTOS for PowerPC processor family. Cross-platform development support is provided for GNU g++ 2.96.x and DIAB compiler tool chains. Out-of-box support is provided for MPC860 and IBM 405GP variants. Varadhi application development for VxWorks is well integrated with Tornado 2.2 tools.

SANKHYA Varadhi can speed up the development of distributed applications by as much as 90% when compared to the use of transport layer technologies like sockets. Varadhi enables distribution of software across Windows, Linux and Solaris hosts and embedded systems like mobile phones and PDAs. Varadhi 1.2 supports Interface Repository, DII and DSI, WSDL, SOAP and UDDI and includes powerful features for developing distributed applications.
